Michael Londra returned to his homeland in June 2019 to tape a brand new television special entitled, IRELAND WITH MICHAEL, LIVE AT THE NATIONAL OPERA HOUSE. Featuring footage of the beautiful scenery with ancient castles, quaint fishing villages, gorgeous rugged coastline, folk music in pubs and centering on a live show from the famed National Opera House in Wexford, Ireland.
The concert with the Ireland’s leading musicians and special guest artists will feature traditional Irish music, songs from Michael’s albums over the years and new music composed by the tenor and his collaborator, celebrated Irish movie composer Liam Bates.
The concert inspired him to take the show and the tv show out on a live tour so he created the Ireland with Michael tour coming to performing arts centers in North America in 2020 and 2021. Combining glorious video footage from the Emerald Isle, Michael's story telling and personal connections to the footage and of course his glorious voice, Michael is presenting a night to take you to Ireland in the comfort of the theater. There are opportunities to ask questions on traveling there. The show also features his amazing Irish band and world champion dancers.

As part of our Education Series, we are bringing the Mesner Puppet Theater and their presentation of The Cat Came Back. Based on the folk song made popular by Fred Penner, this performance tells the tale of Mister Johnson and a mysterious cat who keeps returning to his doorstep. Mister Johnson tries everything he can to get the cat to go away, from giving her to a pilot to sending her into outer space. The cat, however, keeps coming back!
Children in attendance will receive a packet to make their own puppet at home.
Adults: $6.00 • Children: $6.00
